报告题目:Explicit approximate solutions to two transcendental equations in two-phase stratified flow

报告摘要:

Stratified flow in a horizontal tube is a common phenomenon in gas-liquid (two-phase) flow systems. In a two-fluid model, accurately determining the shape of the interface is crucial for solving the equilibrium equation, which in turn allows for the calculation of key parameters such as interface transfer, holdup, and pressure drop. In the study of stratified flow, both flat and double-circle concave-down models are commonly applied to characterize the interface in a horizontal circular tube. However, calculating the wetted angle of the flat interface model and the central angle of the two-circle model, which accounts for the interface curvature, requires solving implicit transcendental equations through appropriate iterative numerical root-finding methods. In this work, we introduce new explicit approximate solutions that eliminate the need for an iterative approach, aiming to improve the coding process and computational efficiency of two-phase model analysis.

吴柏生,广东工业大学教授。主要从事结构静动力重分析与拓扑优化,超材料设计,非线性振动与结构稳定性等方向研究。目前,已发表SCI收录论文130余篇,被SCI期刊他引2500余次。连续多年入选斯坦福大学发布全球前2%顶尖科学家“终身科学影响力”榜单。
